Ms. Betty Lou Barbee

Ms. Betty Lou Barbee was born on July 30, 1933, in Morrisville, North Carolina to the late William Rufus and Eula Mills Barbee. On the morning of September 17, 2019, Betty passed from this life to eternal life. She was a graduate from Apex High School. In the community, Betty was very active and took care of other families. She was well received by everyone. At an early age, Betty joined Shiloh Baptist Church in Morrisville, North Carolina. At a later age, she joined Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church and remained there until her health failed. Survivors include four sisters, Della Bass, Mozelle Turner, Dovie Bass and Lovie Trice; two brothers, John Barbee and Richard Barbee; and a host of extended family and friends. Preceding her in death are six brothers and one sister. A celebration of Betty’s life will be held at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 4610 Fayetteville Rd., Durham, North Carolina 27713 on Saturday, September 21th; Family Visitation at 11:30 a.m. and Life Celebration Service at 12:00 noon, with Reverend William A. Henderson, Sr. delivering the eulogy. Ms. Betty Lou Barbee will be laid to rest in Glennview Memorial Park.
