Dexter Bruno Daye was born November 10, 1967 in Durham, North Carolina to Lawrence Daye, Jr., and the late Louise Hawley Daye. He spent 28 years at Murdock Developmental Center, Butner, North Carolina. He peacefully entered into a place of eternal rest on June 14, 2016 at that facility. His devoted family will forever remember and love him. He leaves to mourn his loss, but also to cherish his memory, his father, Lawrence Daye, Jr., Durham, NC; two sisters-Elvira (Angel) Bostic (Joe), Raleigh, NC, and Joyce Ann McAdoo (Dr. Harold), Pinehurst, NC; three brothers, Donnell Daye (Stephanie), Durham, NC, Lawrence Daye, III (Bonnie), Rougemont, NC, Alexander Daye (Dorothy), Hertford, NC; a treasured great-aunt Ozzie Clemons, Hurdle Mills, NC, a host of loving, caring and supportive nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and caretakers at Murdock Developmental Center. The service will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Mt. Level Missionary Baptist Church, 316 Hebron Road, Durham, NC 27704, at 12:00 noon . The family visitation will be held from 11:00 to 12:00 noon.
