Mrs. Louise C. Jackson
April 28, 1930 - September 28, 2021
Louise Campbell Jackson was born April 28, 1930 to the late Sam and Princess Campbell in Hamlett, NC. She went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Durham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She grew up in Southern Pines, NC with her eight siblings. She received most of her education in the Moore County School District. Louise met and married Roy B. Council and they had four children from this union. She later married Robert Jackson and they had two children from this union. Both husbands are deceased. Louise accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age. She was a member of St. Mark AME Zion Church. She served on the Deaconess Board and was a Girl Scout Leader. She loved working at her daycare for many years and spending time with her family. She had a heart for teaching children and was an Assistant Teacher at W.G Pearson Elementary. In her spare time, she would give birthday cards to the ones she loved and each had a signature picture: she always drew an eye on the card, which represented “the eye of the Lord is upon the righteous.” She is preceded in death by her mother, Princess Ann Campbell; her father, Sam Campbell; her siblings Bertha Campbell, Wayne Gus Campbell, Maggie Campbell, Mildred Campbell, James E. Campbell, and Rose Eva Lloyd; her son Roy Council Jr.; her stepchildren Lonnie Boyd, Ruth Johnson, Hubert Council; and a special nephew Delton Campbell. Louise C. Jackson leaves to cherish her memory a loving family: three daughters, Louise Yvette Umstead (Reginald Sr.), Marsha Kaye Frazier (Mark Sr.), and Robin Jeanette Brown; two sons, Eugene Council (Pamela), and Maurice Andre Jackson Sr; one daughter-in-law, Sharon Council; two sisters, Annie-May Hill of West Palm Beach, Florida, and Lena May Johnson of Southern Pines, North Carolina; 15 grandchildren, Eric Houston (Holly), Alicia Guzman (Jose), Reginald Umstead II, Christina Bunn (Quincy), Roy Council III (Latoya), Mark Frazier Jr., Bryant Umstead, Jessica Council, Shelly Hibbitt (Shon), Brandyn Council, Avery Hunt, Maurice Jackson II, Sherol Jackson, Alexus Monds, and Aaron Brown; two special nieces, Carol Worley (Wade), and Maxine Owens; a special nephew, Kevin Campbell; and 26 great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other loved ones, and friends.
