Mr. Nathan Blaine Fisher

February 1, 1964 - January 3, 2022

Condolences are being expressed to the family of Mr. Nathan Blaine Fisher, age 57, who passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022, at Rex Hospital, Raleigh, North Carolina. Nathan Blaine Fisher was born on February 1, 1964, to the late James and Margaret Ann Cooper Fisher. Born at Cooper Hospital in Camden, New Jersey. He was one of nine children. He was educated in Camden City Public School District and received his diploma from Camden High School in 1982. He also played basketball for Camden High. Nathan enlisted in the United States Navy right after high school. He played basketball for the Navy team. He honorably retired as Aviation Storekeeper Second Class on June 1, 2012. Nathan then worked for Allied Universal Security preceding his death. Nathan, as he was referred to as “Nay”, enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, playing cards, barbecuing as Nay called it grilling, laughing, talking and having a good time. In 1988, Nathan was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Lynn Gulley Fisher who preceded him into eternal rest on February 20, 2014. From this union they had four children, three sons and one daughter. Preceding Nathan in death along with his wife Lynn are his two sisters, Phyllis Witcher and Leslie Fisher. He leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Nayunta Bingley, Leon & Zettie Gulley and DeAndre Fisher; one daughter, Lauren Fisher; four grandchildren; four brothers, James (Alfreda) Fisher, Jeffrey (Ernestine) Fisher, Michael Fisher and Ronald Fisher; two sisters, Victoria Fisher-Bailey and Cheryl Fisher; mother-in-law, Helen Gulley; brothers-in-law, Marcus and Brian Gulley; dear best friends from high school/brother and sister, Raymond and Jacqueline Ford; best friend, Slash; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. A celebration of life service will be held at Scarborough & Hargett Celebration of Life Center, Inc., 309 N Queen Street, Durham, North Carolina 27701, on Friday, January 14th; Viewing from 10:30 a.m. - 10:55 a.m. and Life Celebration Service at 11:00 a.m. To view the Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Nathan Blaine Fisher through Zoom Live Stream: Please click the link below to join the webinar, https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83548614614?
