Mr. Timothy Curtis Wilson

Timothy Curtis Wilson, age 63, entered eternal rest on Monday, April 26, 2021, at his residence. Timothy Curtis was born to William Curtis Wilson and Luretha Chavous Wilson in Bucks County, Pennsylvania on June 14, 1957. He was the second of four children born to this union. At an early age, Tim professed his faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized at Second Baptist Church, Doylestown, PA. Tim was educated in the Bucks County Public Schools. He was a 1975 graduate of Central Bucks East High School. While attending high school, he was a gifted baseball and football player. In March 1976, Tim enlisted in the United States Air Force. During his 20 year military career, he specialized in electronics and computer technology. He served many tours including the Gulf War. He retired as a Master Sergeant at Pope Air Force Base on August 11, 1996. He completed a lifelong accomplishment that same year by receiving his Bachelors Degree in Computer Information System from Campbell University with summa cum laude honors. After his retirement from the military, he continued his career expertise in Computer Information Systems by being employed with IBM, Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Glaxo-SmithKline. After retiring from the corporate world, he became employed as a United States Postal carrier. He enjoyed greeting and meeting new families along his rural route. He also became employed as a clerk at Steve’s Garden Market and Butchery in Hillsborough, NC where he enjoyed greeting customers with his infectious smile. He remained working there until his passing. On April 20, 1985, Tim was united in holy matrimony to Audrey Jeannette Brown of Hopewell, VA. This union was blessed with two beautiful children Christopher Curtis and Alyssa Brooke. Tim was a multi-talented and competitive man. He was full of wit. He never met a stranger. He engaged in many hobbies throughout his life. He enjoyed playing and coaching baseball, watching college basketball (UNC Tarheels fan for life) and football, fishing, playing billiards, playing chess, taking beach trips, traveling, and riding in the countryside on his cherished Harley motorcycle. He enjoyed spending time with family whom he dearly cherished. Tim was preceded in death by his father William Curtis Wilson on February 21, 2014. He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving and devoted wife of 36 years Audrey Brown Wilson; son Christopher Curtis Wilson and daughter Alyssa Brooke Wilson of Durham, NC; mother, Luretha Chavous Wilson of Doylestown, PA; sisters, Elaine Johnson (James) of Roslyn, PA and Annette Wilson of Doylestown, PA and one brother, Bruce Wilson of Doylestown, PA; mother-in- law, Mary M. Brown of Hopewell, VA; sisters-in-law, Justina B. Pegram of Hopewell, VA and Felecia B. Irving (Gerry, Sr.) of Prince George, VA; nieces, Heather Nixon of Lansdale, PA, Christina Washington (Phillip) of Alpharetta, GA and Wanda Belin of Reisterstown, MD; nephew, Jonathan Pegram of Hopewell, VA; great nieces, Mia Camp, Kelia Belin, Kayla Washington, Nia Washington, and Amiyah Pegram; great nephews, William Camp, Phillip Washington III (Scooter) and Carter Pegram and a host of cousins, extended family and many devoted friends. Public viewing for Mr. Timothy Curtis Wilson will take place at Scarborough & Hargett Celebration of Life Center, Inc., 309 N Queen Street, Durham, North Carolina 27701, on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at Henderson Grove Baptist Church, 2806 Page Road, Morrisville, North Carolina 27560, at 11:00 a.m., with a viewing beginning at 10:00 a.m. The service of celebration will be streamed live on the Youtube page of Henderson Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will take place at Markham Memorial Gardens, 4826 Trenton Road, Chapel Hill, North Carolina 27517. In every effort to protect our families and their guests, face coverings are required.
