Mr. Wilburn Daniel Robinson, Jr.

On Friday, February 26, 2021, Mr. Wilburn Daniel Robinson, Jr., age 70, departed this life at Banner Estrella Medical Center, Phoenix, Arizona. With deep remorse, his wife Chardayle Steele Robinson and the rest of the family acknowledges his transitioning to eternal life. As God walked through His garden on Friday, February 26, 2021, He examined Wilburn weary and worn, and beckoned His child to come home. Mr. Wilburn Daniel Robinson, Jr. son of the late Wilburn Daniel Robinson, Sr. and Ethel B. Robinson was born on March 12, 1950 in Durham, North Carolina. He departed this life in Phoenix. Arizona. Wilburn, Jr. was educated in the Durham Public Schools, graduating from Hillside High School in 1967. He matriculated through North Carolina A&T State University, where he received a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He married his high school sweetheart, Chardayle Steele, to which two children were born: Cedric Robinson and Erika Robinson. Wilburn and Chardayle were married 48 years. A devoted husband and family man, Wilburn took pride in his appearance and in being an exceptional provider for his family. He loved photography, spending time with his children and grandchildren, Desmond and Rhys. He enjoyed watching them play sports and participating in other activities. Wilburn's motivation for relocating to Arizona was to be closer to his children after having resided in Memphis, Tennessee for more than two decades. Wow! That's LOVE! "Burns", as affectionately called by his sisters, was the oldest of three Robinson children: Harnetha Hudgins and Deborah Robinson of Durham, North Carolina. Though often quiet in his demeanor, he liked to laugh and have fun and reminisce about trips the family took while they were young, such as the World's Fair in New York City. He especially enjoyed cooking with fresh vegetables and grilling. He thought he was the Emeril Lagasse of the family! While Wilburn is not physically here with us, his presence will forever rest in our hearts.
